Our approach to horse shoeing is based on scientific research through the farrier research center, provided by a certified, trained, professional farrier, Tim Chancey. Tim covers North Georiga and Tennessee. His rates are competetive and his service is always professional. Call him for all your farrier needs.
Horse Training (Mystic Mountain Training Stables)
The relationship between horse and rider is a sacred, beautiful thing, however, without the right information and training it can also be dangerous. With our four step solid training method, fear will be a thing of the past. Let us help you achieve the cohesive relationship with you and your horse that you long for. We can meet your training needs either on the trail, or in the show ring, however we build a solid foundation on all our horses for you to fall back on.
We offer a variety of training services which range from weekly training at your facility if you have a place that is appropriate to train a horse and rider, such as an arena or roundpen. We also offer training at our facility. We will usually recommend bringing your horse for an assessment or doing an assessment on site prior to making a recommendation for training. Our most intense training is Boot Camp which consists of an intensive program that will have your horse and you riding safely and effectively in any situation. Tim Chancey has been around horses all of his life, and began working and training his own horses 10 years ago. With a passion for animals and riding and his accumulative experience with training horses, you will see results quickly and humanely. Tim has been trained by some of the best trainers and farriers in the South, and continues to learn and grow with every horse he trains. He has worked with some of the most difficult horses and can correct some of the most difficult hoof disorders there are. He will always put the care of your horse in the forefront. You will see results based on years of research and training.
Equine Therapy
Mystic Mountain Training Stables is excited to now offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Both Tim and Nancy are certified in the EAGALA model for Equine Therapy. This method focuses on doing experiential therapy with the client and horses. It is an amazing and effective form of therapy that brings together nature, horses, spirit and love in a therapeutic environment for healing. To learn more, check out the EAGALA.org website. We offer individual, group, family and couples sessions. We also offer corporate team building through Equine Assisted Learning sessions, designed to improve communication, team building, trust, cohesiveness, creativity and much more. My first horse Dakota, wiling and wonderful. She has a foundation of western and english with basic dressage. She is a 12 year old paint with pleanty of spark still but gentle enough for a child to ride, Her markings are of an Indian War head or Medicine Head Horse, prized for their fearlessness in battle. She is fearless and sturdy and will go anywhere in the mountains you ask her to go. Great trail horse but also show potential for western pleasure, barrels and poles, etc . She is one of our best horses used in the equine therapy. Our Clients all seem to love her. She is gentle and sensitive, and soothing.
Bandit's Clear sky is below and on the left. She is a spotted saddle horse and a National Racking Horse. My best champ. She won her first ACTA ride ever this year and placed first in the World Show for Country Pleasure Rack. She has had an awsome 2011 show season in country pleasure, in the top 3 in her classes. Way to Go SKy for your 2nd year! Cant wait to see how she does in the spotted sadddle horse competition next year. Sky was trained by Nancy and Tim Chancey. Horse on the right was my first horse, Dakota. They are both used in the Equine therapy program.
Alataar is below on the left 10 year old Egyptian Arabian after being worked for a few months. Horse in the barn on the right is Domingo, our 3 year old walking horse. Gentle and very smooth, he has the best mane of all our horses. Very hansome and a great reliable trail horse. Domingo is the center horse and was just traded for a Walking horse. Domingo went to a great home with three children that are riding him and giving him lots of love. We miss him but we are glad he went to a good home.
Sorrel Horse below is Summer, 3yo in training, National Racking Horse. She is awsome and is going to be shown in Flat Shod Pleasure classes this summer. She is also used in our Equine Therapy program. Next to her is Alataar, Straight Egyptian Arabian. Below from right to left is Sky, 7 yo natioal Racking horse, ALATAAR, and Dakota is on the left.
